Another excellent Edublogs.org weblog

We really only have three weeks left, so here is what we will accomplish in those three weeks:

1. You will write a post to introduce yourself on your About Me page.  Remember not to give any information that could tell who you are or where you could be found. Some information to keep private is your last name, phone number, where you go to school, specifically where you live.

2. You will create an avatar to represent you. You can use one of these sites: Voki, WeeWorld, Build Your Wild Self, Blabberize

3. Write a post about what would be the ‘must see’ places in Florida and explain why. Include pictures about the places you describe.

I came across this today and thought that some of you might enjoy listening to these podcasts.

Write a post that includes the following:

1. A celebration or festival that is celebrated in the United States and or Florida
2. A celebration or festival that you would like to visit someday
3. Pictures and links

 *See Ms. Wyatt’s blog for more specifics about how long it should be and how to attribute pictures correctly

*OPTIONAL: Also write about a cultural festival or celebration that you and your family participate in.

1. Go to The Edublogger and leave a comment about what the blogging comptetition has meant to you.
2. Add a blogroll to your blog. At least three links to websites about thing you are interested in, and at least three links to other blogs.
3. Write a post about the top three blogs that you like.

I need all work completed by Friday 10/17 for 1st Quarter grades. Below is a checklist of things you need to have completed. Just completing them does not guarantee an “A” – they must be done well, for that!

This is your assignment for today -

• Finish or edit your About Me and Theme posts from Week 1. The About Me post should be on your About PAGE, not just a post on the blog….some of you need to make that change.
• Add your avatar if you have it on your flash drive – there are directions on the Week 2 competition post for how to add it to your blog
• Write a post about why you chose your avatar – how does it represent you?
• Remember to tag each post with stubc08
